Vitor Abdala, Agência Brasil - Petrobras' minority shareholders have nominated six candidates to compete for positions on the state-owned company's Board of Directors and Fiscal Council. The election of the eight members of the Board of Directors and the five members of the Fiscal Council will take place at the Ordinary General Meeting scheduled for April 27.

For the Board of Directors, the minority ordinary shareholders nominated José João Abdalla Filho, considered one of the largest individual investors on the B3 (São Paulo Stock Exchange), and Marcelo Gasparino da Silva, an equity fund manager.

For the Fiscal Council, the members nominated lawyer Michele da Silva Gonsales Torres as the principal member and accountant Aloisio Macário Ferreira da Silva as the alternate member.

The minority preferred shareholders, in turn, nominated lawyer João Vicente Machado as the principal member of the Fiscal Council, and marketing and strategic planning specialist Rochana Grossi Freire as the alternate member.

According to Petrobras' bylaws, ordinary shareholders are entitled to one seat and preferred shareholders to another on the Fiscal Council.

The Brazilian government, which is the majority shareholder in Petrobras, had already submitted its nominations to both boards.
