Xi stated that China has always valued its relations with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
China also supports Uruguay in its rotating presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Southern Common Market (Mercosur), and is ready to work with Uruguay and other countries in the region to further promote the building of a China-LAC community with a shared future, Xi said.
