Vampires, the mission

Deleted scenes and confessions from the author are in the nearly 600-page book that aims to be the illustrated encyclopedia of the vampire series that became a cinematic success.

Natalia Rangel_247 – A violent badminton match, a long quote from Romeo and Juliet (Stephenie Meyer's favorite reading), and a more junkie version of Bella on a drunken night with Edward... Passages like these – all omitted from the original books – have been compiled in Twilight: The Official Illustrated Guide to the Series (Intrínseca publishing house), the latest novelty and object of desire for fans of the vampire saga starring Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson in the movies. After the books, films, and comics, the guide, a true encyclopedia, is the fetish of the moment, with illustrations, genealogical and biographical information about the characters, and a frank and exclusive interview with Stephenie Meyer. She talks about the dilemma she faced in deciding whether or not the protagonist would become a vampire to be with her boyfriend, and about how to handle Bella's pregnancy and childbirth without "shocking" her readers.

The famous dream episode that gave rise to the entire saga is also recounted in detail. In one passage, she explains: “I wrote down the dream on June 2nd. I marked everything in my diary: it was the first day of my summer diet; the first day of swimming lessons. It's funny when you know exactly the day you became a writer! And I finished it close to my brother's wedding, which was right after his birthday. The story stayed in my head even when I slept. I couldn't talk to people. My friends thought I had abandoned them because I spent the whole summer locked in my own world.”
