Ruffato: Temer is unworthy of the office he holds.

"If Michel Temer had even a modicum of pride, a modicum of dignity, he would resign from the position he wasn't elected to and which he has been demonstrating, day by day, a moral incapacity to hold. But he has no pride, no dignity," says writer Luiz Ruffato, commenting on the Geddel Vieira Lima case; "Just as he interceded for Geddel, now Temer is protecting Eliseu Padilha," he states.

247 - Commenting on the Geddel Vieira Lima case, writer Luiz Ruffato stated that Michel Temer "is unworthy of the office he holds."

"Today we know why Michel Temer was so emphatic in defending Geddel Vieira Lima: he himself allegedly pressured Marcelo Calero to change the opinion of the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (Iphan), as did another of his ministers, the Chief of Staff, Eliseu Padilha. Calero claims to have recordings that would prove his accusations. In other words, according to the former Minister of Culture, Temer and Padilha also committed the crime of extortion. For much, much less, the vice-president, supported by the National Congress and the Judiciary, plotted the coup that overthrew President Dilma Rousseff, against whom, to this day, no irregularity has been proven," says Ruffato.

"Just as he interceded for Geddel, Temer is now protecting Padilha, former Minister of Transport in the Fernando Henrique Cardoso administration (1997-2001) and Minister of the Civil Aviation Secretariat in the Dilma Rousseff administration (2014-2015), who is the target of several investigations in the courts for involvement in numerous irregularities."
