Ask Dr. Ozzy

Rocker releases book with health advice and anecdotes about the numerous times he nearly died from drug and alcohol abuse.

By Manuela Meneses - Rock dinosaur Ozzy Osbourne proves he survived the excesses of life as a global music star in excellent health. Based on medical experiences after 40 years of intense drug use, Ozzy will release the book Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy: Advice From Rock's Ultimate Survivor in October in the United States. The book is full of medical advice and curious details about his obsessive hypochondria and the numerous times the star almost died. After so many years of abusing narcotics and alcohol, coupled with the uncontrolled use of medication, medicine considers it a miracle that the star's body is still functioning efficiently.

To prove his state of health, Ozzy hired a team of specialized doctors to have all of his DNA mapped. The strange experiment cost over R$65 and concluded that no human could survive this type of life. After the results, the musician gained a column, where he answers medical questions, in The Sunday Times of London. The success was immediate and he was featured in the American Rolling Stone. Following the success of Keith Richards' biography, the book by the patriarch of the Osbourne family promises to enter the hall of legends of the universe ruled by sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.
