Paulinha Abelha was hospitalized on February 11th after returning from a tour with Calcinha Preta in São Paulo. She is in a coma.
By Juliana Barbosa, Metrópoles - The team of Paulinha Abelha, lead singer of Calcinha PretaA new medical bulletin was released this Friday (February 18th). The note, signed by doctors from Hospital Primavera, in Aracaju, Sergipe, states that she is stable, but remains in a coma.
"The patient, Paula de Menezes Nascimento Leca Viana, was admitted to this hospital yesterday, February 17th, to the intensive care unit due to a coma under investigation. She is currently clinically stable, the infection is under control, and she is breathing with the aid of a ventilator," the statement said.
Bell Oliver, a member of the band Calcinha Preta, denied rumors circulating on social media about Paulinha Abelha's brain death. "I'm here to deny these fake news stories; they're saying Paulinha has suffered brain death. That's a lie! She is still hospitalized, but she's stable and, in the name of Jesus, she'll pull through," the musician said on his social media.
