Brasilia – Venezuelans will be able to experience Brazilian cinema starting this Wednesday, the 6th, during a film festival promoted by the Social and Cultural Center of Venezuelan Petroleum (Pdvsa) La Estancia, which has locations in Caracas, the capital, Maracaibo, and Paraguaná. The films being shown include releases from 2002 to 2009.

The program will feature the film Invisible Woman (2009), directed by Claudio Torres and starring Luana Piovani and Selton Mello. The film tells the story of a young man who, after being abandoned by his wife, suffers from depression and is saved by the appearance of a perfect woman, but one that not everyone can see, as she is a figment of the imagination.

Also to be shown is the film Romeo and Juliet (2005), by Bruno Barret, a romantic comedy that tells the love story between a fanatical Palmeiras supporter and a Corinthians supporter who is also fascinated by football.

The third film to be shown is Avassaladoras (2002), by Mara Mourão, a light comedy that portrays women's search for love. The film depicts women as knowing what they want, dedicated professionals with high self-esteem. The main character is shown as a beautiful but clumsy and insecure woman.
