Choro singer Ademilde Fonseca dies.
Known as the Queen of Choro, Ademilde worked for over a decade at Rádio Nacional and Rádio Tupi; she was 91 years old.
Agency Brazil - Singer Ademilde Fonseca died late last night (27), aged 91. Known as the Queen of Choro, she worked for more than a decade on Rádio Nacional and Rádio Tupi.
Ademilde Fonseca suffered a sudden illness at her home in Ipanema, south of Rio de Janeiro. The burial will be today (28), at the São João Batista Cemetery, in Botafogo, also in the south. The time has not yet been defined.
She leaves behind a daughter, also a singer, Eimar Fonseca, three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
