Actress Jandira Martini dies at age 78.

247 - Actress Jandira Martini has died at the age of 78, as announced by Marcos Caruso, one of the artist's close friends. The cause of death was not disclosed, but the newspaper O Globo reported that she was battling lung cancer. Details about the wake and burial have not yet been provided.

Originally from Santos (SP), Jandira Martini began her television career in 1966, at the age of 21. After playing some minor roles, she gained prominence by playing the antagonist Teodora Abdala in the telenovela "Sassaricando" (TV Globo) in 1987, according to... UOL.

The talented actress also participated in other television productions, such as "O Clone", "América", "Desejo Proibido", "Caminho das Índias", "Escrito nas Estrelas" and "Salve Jorge". Her last work on television was in the series "Viver do Riso", in 2018.
