247 - Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes attended singer Alcione's show, held this Saturday (11) in Brasília. The audience, upon recognizing his presence, reacted with strong applause and repeatedly chanted the chorus of "no amnesty", alluding to the attempt by sectors linked to Bolsonarism to articulate in Congress a pardon for those convicted for the coup acts of January 8, 2023.

According to Folha de S. PaulMoraes waved to the audience several times in gratitude. The episode took place at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center, where Alcione dedicated her performance to the minister. At one point, the artist revealed that Moraes had been in her dressing room before the show and shared her admiration for him, a gesture that was followed by further expressions from the audience in defense of punishing those involved in the attacks on institutions.

Alcione expresses public support.

During the show, Alcione recalled previous occasions when she had praised the stance of Alexandre de Moraes, responsible for overseeing the proceedings related to the attempted coup at the end of Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) government. In March of this year, at a show in São Paulo, the singer even joked about her personal admiration:

"I adore our minister Alexandre de Moraes. I always told my sister that if I had known him sooner, I would have married him," she declared at the time, before performing the song "Faz uma Loucura por Mim" (Do Something Crazy for Me).

The political symbolism of the moment

The strong reception for the minister comes amid pressure from the far right to push through an amnesty bill in Congress, a measure criticized by democratic organizations and social movements. The spontaneous gesture from the public, shouting "no amnesty," reinforced popular support for the Supreme Court's position of upholding the convictions of those responsible for the 2023 attacks.

At the end of the show in Brasília, Moraes, who was watching from the reserved area, was once again greeted by the audience, responding once more with waves.
