Mano Brown: "Brazil today is ugly and without makeup"
"Brazil has always been ugly, but it used to have makeup on," the rapper stated in a live stream with Dr. Drauzio Varella.
Forum Magazine - Rapper Mano Brown, leader of Racionais, participated in a live stream with doctor Dráuzio Varella late Wednesday afternoon (24), where he spoke about racism, rap, the coronavirus pandemic and the current political situation in Brazil.
According to Brown, Brazil is a country structured on racism, and therefore, "if racism is dismantled, the country collapses along with it."
"A white person between two black people is a victim; we have to protect that white person. That's Brazil for you," the rapper exclaimed.
Asked about his participation in an anti-fascist rally in São Paulo, Brown said that some might even consider it a mistake to hold a street demonstration in the midst of a pandemic, since "life is the priority."
