The singer's husband, Clebinho, along with colleagues of the artist, reported that she was suffering from nausea during her time in São Paulo, where Calcinha Preta was performing. Despite the severe discomfort, she chose to visit the hospital only upon arriving in Aracaju, the capital of Sergipe, where she lived with her husband and father.

The medication was part of a prescription provided by the nutritionist who was treating Paulinha.
