"Jurassic World" is set to become the fastest-grossing film of all time to reach $1 billion.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Universal Pictures' dinosaur movie "Jurassic World" is set to break the record for the fastest-grossing $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office on Monday, following last week's record-breaking opening.

The film, which stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, is expected to reach that milestone just 13 days after its release, Universal Pictures said.

The record had been set by "Fast & Furious 7," a Universal action film, which reached the $1 billion mark worldwide 17 days after its release in April.
