247 – The Golden Globe Awards ceremony this Sunday (13) honored the films Les Misérables, by Tom Hopper, and Argo, by Ben Affleck. The first won three awards, including Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical and Best Comedy/Musical Film; the second won Best Director and Best Drama Film. In the television categories, Homeland and Game Change were the highlights.

The first award of the night went to Christoph Waltz. He won the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in Django Unchained.

Life of Pi won its only award for Best Original Score. Jennifer Lawrence surprised everyone and won Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for Silver Linings Playbook. "Bradley Cooper, you were amazing," the actress thanked her co-star.

An emotional Anne Hathaway took to the stage to accept the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Fantine in Les Misérables. "I want to thank Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams, and especially Sally Field, thank you for being such an inspiring and incredible actress," the star said, referring to her competitors. The musical also received the awards for Best Actor in a Musical, with Hugh Jackman, and Best Comedy/Musical Film.

Just like at the Critics' Choice Awards, Ben Affleck was chosen Best Director for Argo. Seemingly in disbelief, he went up on stage and thanked the film's cast, his daughters, and his wife, Jennifer Garner, with whom he exchanged a kiss before receiving the Golden Globe. The heartthrob was left out of the 2013 Oscar nominations.

Another highlight of the night was the Best Actor in a Drama award, which went to Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln. "To Steven Spielberg, director, master, humble, with a wonderful imagination. Generous friend, you gave me a wonderful experience that I will carry with me for the rest of my life," said the actor in his acceptance speech. Jessica Chastain won the Best Actress in a Drama award for Zero Dark Thirty.
