Paris Fashion Week surprises with Gisele and Kanye West.

Brazilian supermodel Linda takes the stage to close the Givenchy show. But the most anticipated attraction of French Fashion Week was the show by the American rapper.

Roberta Namour, 247 correspondent in Paris – After New York and Milan, Fashion Week lands in Paris until October 5th. Big international names in fashion, such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, and Lanvin, are presenting the Spring-Summer 2012 trends in the French capital. Among so many stars, the one who surprised the most was Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who took to the stage this Sunday to close the Givenchy show. Wearing the collection inspired by the aquatic theme – with transparencies mixed with tailoring – Gisele embodied the blasé air of a sophisticated woman. Her appearance was only revealed moments before she stepped onto the catwalk, when she posted a photo with the brand's makeup artist, Pat McGrath, on her Twitter page.

But the most anticipated attraction of this edition of Paris Fashion Week was the show by American rapper Kanye West. After developing a line of sneakers for Louis Vuitton, he presented his first women's ready-to-wear collection on Saturday night, outside the official event schedule. The atmosphere was somber, despite the presence of celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, the Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley, and the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour. In a large white room in a Parisian high school, models paraded wearing leather pants with zippers, black dresses with rectangular necklines, and a large fox-print backpack. Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti created four types of exclusive shoes for Kanye West.

At the end of the parade, the rapper made a discreet appearance wearing gray pants and a white t-shirt.
