Singer Fafá de Belém, considered the muse of the Diretas Já movement, made her last public appearance alongside politicians this year, alongside President Dilma Rousseff. However, she also met with other potential candidates in the 2014 presidential race.
247 - Considered the muse of the Diretas Já movement, singer Fafá de Belém concluded her appearances with politicians alongside President Dilma Rousseff at the National Congress, during a solemn session for the symbolic return of the presidential mandate of João Goulart (1919-1976), on December 18th. On that occasion, Fafá sang the Brazilian national anthem.
In addition to Dilma, the singer was this year alongside the main candidates considered to be running for President of the Republic in October 2014, such as Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB), in Poços de Caldas, in the south of Minas Gerais; the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Joaquim Barbosa, in Belém do Pará; and also with the governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos (PSB), in Recife.
