247- This week, the book "Fragments: Poems, Intimate Notes and Letters by Marilyn Monroe" arrives in Brazil. Published by Tordesilhas, the book contains poems, notes, and letters written by Marilyn Monroe during the 1950s, a period when the American film star was experiencing the height of her success, scandals, and controversies.

The writings of Marilyn Monroe, who died in 1962, remained with Lee Strasberg, her drama teacher at the Actors Studio. After Strasberg's death, Anna, the teacher's widow, gave the documents to film producer Stanley Buchthal, who invited the Frenchman Bernard Comment to edit the letters. “We are not dealing with the memoirs of a star nor an intimate diary. What we have is a rare case of a magical person who puts her states of mind on paper, unfiltered, without a pre-established form, and with an intensity as moving as it is disturbing,” said Comment.
