In his book, Lobão calls Dilma a torturer.
Composer releases "Manifesto of Nothing in Neverland" with harsh criticism of figures in the country's artistic and political circles; chapter dedicated to the president is titled "Shall We Assassinate the President of the Republic?"
247 – Musician and composer Lobão is once again trying his hand at writing. After selling 150 copies of his autobiography ("Lobão - 50 Years at Full Speed", published by Nova Fronteira), he is now releasing "Manifesto of Nothing in Neverland".
With an initial print run of 40 copies, the book contains harsh criticism of figures from the country's artistic and political circles.
President Dilma Rousseff is called a "torturer" - in a chapter titled "Shall We Assassinate the President of the Republic?" -, Roberto Carlos is called a "depressed mummy," and Racionais MCs are called the "armed wing of the PT" (Workers' Party).
According to Folha, Lobão believes his performance at the Virada Cultural in May will be a gauge of the public's reaction. "When I was writing the book, I was afraid of being 'Simonalized' [referring to Wilson Simonal], labeled a reactionary. We'll see if I'll have room to work."
