Digital culture is on youPix.
The world's largest digital content festival is taking place this year in a space three times larger, at Porção das Artes, during the Bienal, and promises more than 150 attractions over three days of activities.
247 - The ninth edition of youPix, the largest internet culture festival in Brazil, begins this Wednesday, the 17th, and runs until the 19th, at the Porão das Artes of the Bienal (Ibirapuera Park – SP). Curated by Bia Granja from São Paulo, youPix is a platform that celebrates, discusses, and is a stage for the culture created, reproduced, and discussed on the Internet, giving space and voice to the agents of the silent revolution that happens through network wires and has already changed and influenced countless aspects of culture, behavior, business, and communication in the world. Through the festival, youPix brings together the entire digital content community in one diverse space. Among the more than 160 attractions is American Christopher "moot" Poole, creator of 4Chan, the world's largest digital culture forum, who will be speaking in Brazil for the first time.
Debates, lectures, shows, games, and the sharing of virtual experiences will be on the agenda until Friday, between 14 PM and 23:30 PM. The controversial presenter Rafinha Bastos and the musician Gilberto Gil will also participate in the event. According to the festival organizers, going to the youPix Festival is like experiencing the internet outside of your computer browser. The event is characterized by bringing the most talked-about topics on the web to real life. There will be everything: memes, viral content, web celebrities, web thinkers and content creators, geeks, nerds, and fans of the community.
