Following Preta Gil's death, Gilberto Gil announces the date to resume his tour.

The Tempo Rei tour will resume in September, after being postponed due to the death of the singer's daughter.

247 Gilberto Gil will return to the stage in early September with the resumption of his tour. Time King, temporarily interrupted after the death of his daughter, singer Preta Gil. The information was released this Tuesday (29) through the artist's official profile on social media. The news was originally published by columnist Fábia Oliveira, from the portal Metropolis.

"In 2025, we will celebrate Gilberto Gil's historic legacy on a tour that transcends our time," says the post made by the musician's team.

The pause in artistic commitments had been announced the day before, on Monday (July 28), due to the death of Preta Gil, who died on July 20, at the age of 49, after battling bowel cancer. The postponement initially affected the show scheduled for August 9, in Belém (PA), at the Olympic Stadium of Pará, the Mangueirão.

The show in Belém does not yet have a new confirmed date, but according to the production team, preparations to reschedule it are already underway. "30e and Gilberto Gil's team are working together so that the capital of Pará can host the long-awaited performance of the singer-songwriter's final tour," the official statement said.
