247 - The film 'I'm Still Here', directed by Walter Salles, has become the fifth highest-grossing film in the history of Brazilian cinema, according to data from the National Film Agency (Ancine) reported by Estadão Conteúdo. Since its premiere in November 2024, the film has grossed R$ 85,41 million and attracted an audience of 3.868.458 viewers.
The film's success is partly due to its three 2025 Oscar nominations, which further boosted public interest. Salles' production was already among the year's highlights, but international recognition helped maintain its upward trajectory at the Brazilian box office.
The ranking of the highest-grossing Brazilian films in the country is led by 'Minha Mãe É Uma Peça 3' (2020), which reached an impressive R$ 169,8 million. In second place is 'Minha Mãe É Uma Peça 2' (2016), with R$ 124,6 million, closely followed by 'Nada a Perder' (2018), a biopic of Bishop Edir Macedo, which grossed R$ 120,2 million.
In fourth place is 'The Ten Commandments – The Movie' (2016), which grossed R$ 116,8 million. Now, 'I'm Still Here' occupies fifth place, consolidating itself as one of the biggest successes of recent Brazilian cinema.
