Venezuela receives one million doses of Cuban Covid-19 vaccine.

247 - A shipment with one million doses of the Cuban vaccine Soberana Mais arrived in Venezuela this Sunday (30), to reinforce the vaccination campaign against Covid-19, which already reaches 96% of the population, reports Telesur, according to official sources.
The vaccine developed by Cuban scientists arrived this Sunday morning at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira.
Venezuelan Health Minister Carlos Alvarado indicated that the doses of Soberana Mais will serve "to strengthen the fight against Covid-19".
Last Wednesday, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro urged the population to get vaccinated and announced that 96% of adults had been immunized.
"But we must continue to take care of ourselves, for individual and collective health," said the head of state of the South American country.
Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez urged the entire population on Sunday to take extreme biosecurity measures in response to the increase in coronavirus infections.
