Russian Covid-19 vaccine shows 'unequivocal immune response' in all volunteers.

"Results from follow-up tests clearly show that an unequivocal immune response was obtained through the vaccine. No side effects or complications were detected in the volunteers," reported the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Sputnik - The latest control test performed on volunteers who received a vaccine against the novel coronavirus produced by Russia showed that all developed an immune response to the virus, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, volunteers who received a dose of the vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology against COVID-19 at Burdenko Hospital developed an immune response to the virus, test results obtained on Monday (3) showed.

"The results of the follow-up tests clearly show that there was an unequivocal immune response obtained through the vaccine. No side effects or complications were detected in the volunteers," the ministry reported.

The news was released after another research institute, also engaged in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine, the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology Vektor, announced plans to begin production of a vaccine against the new coronavirus as early as November 2021. According to the center, the vaccine will be distributed free of charge in Russia.
