247 - Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP) said that he will file a lawsuit with the Supreme Federal Court (STF) this Monday (24) against the Ministry of Health and the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of the ministry, Hélio Angotti Neto, due to veto of guidelines that advise against the use of medications from the so-called Covid kit., which uses remedies with no proven scientific efficacy in the treatment of Covid-19, to the detriment of vaccination.

According to the MetropolisThe senator intends to file a Claim of Non-Compliance with a Fundamental Precept (ADPF) and a criminal complaint against the secretary with the Supreme Court. Also on Monday, Senator Humberto Costa (PT-PE) is expected to submit a request to summon Angotti to testify before the Senate's Human Rights and Participatory Legislation Committee.

Hélio Angotti signed the technical note that contradicts the negative analysis of the use of the Covid Kit in the treatment of Covid-19, prepared by the National Commission for the Incorporation of Technologies into the Unified Health System (SUS), which recommends that it not be used in the country. The secretary's indictment was suggested by the Covid CPI for the crime of causing an epidemic resulting in death (article 267 of the Penal Code) due to his defense of the use of early treatment.
