New York Governor changes his tune and aligns himself with Trump: "We should reopen"
According to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, and Rhode Island will elect a public health professional and an economic advisor to form a working group to develop a reopening plan.
247 New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that the state should "begin to reopen" after weeks of quarantine due to the coronavirus. "We should be eager to reopen, but reopen with a plan, and a smart plan," he said at a press conference. "If you do it wrong, it can backfire."
According to the governor, the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island will elect a public health professional and an economic consultant to form a working group with the goal of developing a reopening plan.
Last week, Cuomo launched an online campaign urging people to stay home.
The United States leads the world ranking of confirmed cases, with 578. In second place is Spain (169,4), followed by Italy (159,5) and France (136,7). Germany is in fifth position (128,2).
The United States accounts for 23,1 deaths in the ranking, followed by Italy (20,4) and Spain (17,4).
