Flu explodes in the country: in three days, cases of co-infection with Covid and influenza grow by 114%.

Pernambuco, with 31 infected individuals, is the most recent state to report cases of flurona, as the dual infection is popularly known.

Metropolises - Cases of flu, the simultaneous infection of influenza and Covid-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, have been identified in Brazil by 114% in three days. On Tuesday (January 4th), state health departments had registered 122 cases of the co-infection. This Friday (January 7th), the number jumped to 262.

The most recent state to report cases of Covid-19 and influenza is Pernambuco, where 31 people have both viruses. In the federal capital, the Health Department of the Federal District reported, this Thursday (January 6th), that there are already 89 confirmed cases. None of them progressed to severe cases and required hospitalization. Previously, there were 26.

The Municipal Health Department of Goiânia confirmed, this Thursday, the first case of simultaneous infection by Covid-19 and influenza.
