247 - Brazilian physician Drauzio Varella harshly criticized those who deny the virus and base their refusal to get vaccinated against Covid-19 on conspiracy theories.
In an interview with Globo News, he was emphatic: “Stupidity is authoritarian. It is these fools who don't get vaccinated who end up in hospitals, infecting doctors, overwhelming health units, and it is society that pays for their stupidity.”
According to the director of the Medical Division of the Emílio Ribas Institute of Infectology, Ralcyon Teixeira, 80% of those hospitalized at the hospital, which is a reference center in the capital of São Paulo, were not vaccinated against the disease, or had not received the second dose.
