China gives conditional approval for the use of Pfizer's pill against Covid-19.

247 - China's medical products regulator said on Saturday (12) that it had given conditional approval to Paxlovid, Pfizer's drug to treat Covid-19.
This will be the first oral pill against the coronavirus approved in the Asian country. The National Medical Products Administration said that Paxlovid has been approved to treat adults with Covid-19, reports the G1.
The country plans to use the drug for mild to moderate cases in order to prevent the risk of progression to a severe condition. A more in-depth study of the drug still needs to be conducted and submitted to the authority, according to the agency.
