China Radio International China's Foreign Ministry criticized on Tuesday (10), in a press conference, countries that insist on discriminatory restrictions on the entry of Chinese people, ignoring scientific facts and the reality of the epidemic in their own territories.

"China firmly opposes this and has taken reciprocal measures," said Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin, adding that many countries welcomed the announcement of the comprehensive Covid-19 management plan and the provisional measures on personnel exchanges with overseas countries, but some governments announced restrictions on the entry of travelers from China.

“Once again, we urge related countries to take scientific and appropriate, fact-based measures to address the pandemic, rather than using it to engage in political manipulation or discriminatory practices,” the diplomat said, stressing that exchange and cooperation between peoples should not be affected.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Chinese Embassy in South Korea issued a notice suspending the issuance of short-term visas for South Korean citizens to visit China.
