Brazil reports 1.382 new Covid-19 deaths, the highest number on a Sunday; total surpasses 37.

Brazil experienced its second deadliest day since the start of the pandemic, surpassed only by the 1.473 confirmed deaths on June 4th. With 1.382 fatalities from coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health's figures this Sunday, the country has surpassed 37 deaths.

247 - With 1.382 new deaths from coronavirus according to the Ministry of Health, Brazil had the highest number of confirmed deaths on a Sunday since the beginning of the pandemic. This brings the total number of officially confirmed deaths from coronavirus in the country to 37.312. This Sunday's number... The total number of confirmed cases is approaching 700: there are 685.427. 

After criticism from the national and international scientific community, politicians, media outlets, and civil society organizations, the Ministry of Health resumed publishing consolidated statistics and announced that it will launch a new platform, still under development, with information relating to Brazil, states, capitals, and metropolitan regions—including graphs showing the daily evolution of new cases.

The Conass (National Council of State Secretaries) also launched this Sunday a official website with complete data on the pandemic of coronavirusBased on records from each state, unlike the data provided by the federal government, the portal will be updated daily at 18 PM.
