Neuza Back will be the first Brazilian woman to enter a men's World Cup match.

Brazilian Neuza Inês Back, 38, will be an assistant referee in the match between Costa Rica and Germany.

247 - Brazilian Neuza Inês Back, 38, will be the first woman from the country to officiate a men's game at a World Cup. She will be an assistant referee in the match between Costa Rica and Germany, on Thursday (1), for the third round of Group E, at 16 pm (Brasília time). The other assistant will be Mexican Karen Diaz Medina. Frenchwoman Stéphaine Frappart will referee the game. 

Born in the municipality of Saudades, in the interior of Santa Catarina, Neuza lives in the city of São Paulo (SP), where she shares an apartment with referee Edina Alves Batista.

The decision to move to the capital of São Paulo was primarily aimed at career growth and new opportunities.
