Xi pays tribute to martyrs of the war of resistance against Japanese aggression.
During the visit, Xi reviewed the history of the CCP, which led both military and civilians in the courageous fight against the Japanese invaders.
Yangquan, Shanxi, July 7 (Xinhua) – Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), paid tribute to the martyrs who died in a major campaign in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression, during an inspection visit to Yangquan, in Shanxi Province, northern China, on Monday.
At the monument plaza honoring the martyrs of the Hundred Regiments Campaign during the war against Japanese aggression, Xi laid a basket of flowers to pay tribute to the martyrs and then visited the memorial commemorating this important campaign.
During the visit, Xi reviewed the history of the CCP, which led both military and civilians in the courageous fight against the Japanese invaders, and learned about local efforts to educate about revolutionary history and promote the great spirit of resistance to aggression.
