CGTN – On the afternoon of February 4, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chinese President, received in Beijing Le Hoai Trung, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CVP) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, who was in China on a visit as a special envoy of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPCV, To Lam.
Xi Jinping stressed that the consistent practice of the two parties informing each other about their major political agendas reflects the special friendship of "comrades and brothers" and the high level of political trust between China and Vietnam.
The Chinese leader emphasized that the dynamic advancement of the socialist cause in both countries demonstrates to the world the vitality of this system. China has always attached high priority to the development of relations with Vietnam and is willing to work with the Vietnamese side to firmly secure the future of socialism, implement high-level consensus, deepen exchanges at all levels and cooperation in various fields, and jointly and decisively promote the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
Le Hoai Trung stated that Vietnam always considers strengthening and developing relations with China as the top priority of its foreign policy, advancing side-by-side with its neighbor on a new development journey, guided by the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, in order to elevate Sino-Vietnamese relations to a new level and further benefit both peoples.
