CGTN – Chinese President Xi Jinping's wife, Peng Liyuan, invited wives of foreign leaders attending the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit on Monday afternoon (1st) to visit the Haihe River in Tianjin.
During the boat trip, Peng Liyuan and her guests attended a presentation about the history and development of the city. Xi Jinping's wife said that Tianjin is full of modern historical charm and that the Haihe River is a witness to local development. She commented that she expected the program to have been joyful and unforgettable.
The event was attended by the wives of the presidents of Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, the prime ministers of Armenia, Nepal, Egypt, and Malaysia, and the daughter of the president of Iran.
