CMG Spring Festival Gala 2026 concludes third rehearsal
The presentations at the main headquarters in Beijing focus on innovation, making traditional culture more interactive.
CGTN – The Spring Festival Gala 2026 produced by China Media Group (CMG) concluded its third rehearsal this Saturday (31).
With the premiere of the programs from the four host cities, the performances in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, Yiwu, Zhejiang province, Hefei, Anhui province, and Yibin, Sichuan province, joined the main stage program in Beijing.
The performances at the main venue in Beijing focus on innovation, making traditional culture more interactive. The creative music and dance show Celebrating the Goddess of Flowers used AI-generated imagery and stage technology with real sets to showcase the natural beauty of the changing seasons.
Each of the four participating cities brought its own unique charm, from snowy landscapes along the banks of the Yangtze River, to scientific and technological innovation zones and commercial cities, showcasing the diverse scenes of traditional Chinese New Year celebrations.
