OCS Forum on Interpersonal Exchange is held in Beijing.
With the theme "Harmonious Coexistence, Shared Future," the event was jointly organized by the CMG and the OCS Secretariat.
CGTN – On the occasion of the 25th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Council of Heads of State (SCO), the SCO Forum on People-to-People Exchange was held this Monday (25) in Beijing.
With the theme “Harmonious Coexistence, Shared Future,” the event was jointly organized by the China Media Group (CMG) and the SCO Secretariat. More than 100 guests attended and followed the presentation of new cooperation results in the field of people-to-people exchanges in member countries.
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, sent a congratulatory message, stating that the forum is not only an important international event but also reflects the “Shanghai Spirit.” He emphasized that his country intends to strengthen cooperation with the CMG during its rotating presidency of the SCO, between 2025 and 2026.
Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also sent his congratulations. He stated that, given the current complex and constantly changing international landscape, sincere dialogue and mutual understanding between civilizations are increasingly valuable. Sharif praised the role of the CMG, highlighting its professional, objective, and comprehensive broadcasting.
The president of the CMG, Shen Haixiong, emphasized that Chinese civilization has always revered harmony, advocating understanding, respect, and the coexistence of diversities as the basis for vitality and prosperity.
He added that, as the world’s largest and most populous comprehensive regional organization, the SCO is “a colorful portrait of civilization.” In recent years, Shen said, the CMG has strengthened cooperation with the entity to promote people-to-people exchange activities, spread the “Shanghai Spirit,” and contribute to building a community of shared future for mankind.
