CGTN – Over three consecutive years, a study conducted jointly by CGTN and Renmin University of China interviewed a total of 47 people in 46 countries around the world, encompassing both major developed economies and countries of the Global South. The research was carried out through the New Era International Communication Research Institute.
In the 2025 survey, 89,5% of respondents praised China's strong economic capabilities, with the approval rating among those under 44 exceeding 90%. Furthermore, 89,3% acknowledged the country's high rate of economic growth, and 86,4% highlighted China's significant contribution to the global economy. Approval was particularly high among respondents from Africa (95,6%), South America (92,9%), and Asia (85,6%). Among respondents under 44, the positive assessment rate surpassed 88%.
In an international context marked by unilateralism and trade protectionism, participants expressed high recognition of the stability and predictability of the Chinese market, as well as the opportunities generated by the country's high level of opening. According to the 2025 survey, 72,6% considered China an open and competitive market; 79,8% believe that the ultra-large Chinese market offers great opportunities for their own countries; the same percentage (79,8%) assessed that China's favorable business environment is highly attractive to foreign investors; and 78% stated that their countries benefit greatly from trade with China.
