247 - Federal deputy Carlos Zarattini, from the Workers' Party (PT), proposed a modification to article 142 of the Federal Constitution, with the aim of restricting the role of the Armed Forces and preventing possible coup attempts by the "fascist right." The statement was made on social media on the afternoon of Thursday, the 17th.
Zarattini's proposal aims to exclude Law and Order Guarantee (GLO) operations from the responsibilities of the Armed Forces and clearly define their role within the Democratic Rule of Law.
