Zambelli spreads fake news about a bill mandating the use of masks even inside homes.

Brazilian congresswoman Carla Zambelli (PSL-SP), a supporter of President Bolsonaro, used Twitter to spread fake news about a bill that would mandate the use of face masks throughout the country. However, the bill only addresses public spaces.

Forum Magazine - Brazilian federal deputy Carla Zambelli, a Bolsonaro supporter, published fake news on her Twitter account this Wednesday (10) about the Bill that mandates the use of protective masks throughout the national territory. The Bill, approved this Tuesday in the Senate, however, only refers to public places.

Zambelli posted: “ABSURD! The bill that obliges you to wear a mask inside your home has been approved, even allowing HOME INVASIONS to check if you are WEARING a mask inside your own home. THIS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL! What was inviolable is no longer!”

The bill, however, mandates the use of protective masks against the coronavirus in public places. The legislative proposal, aimed at combating the spread of the coronavirus, had already been approved by the House in May, but the text underwent some changes in the Senate, which were accepted and approved now by the Chamber of Deputies.
