247 - Brazilian Education Minister Abraham Weintraub launched a homophobic attack against the governor of São Paulo, João Doria (PSDB). On his Twitter account, Weintraub posted a video, dated November of last year, where Doria appears sliding down a slide at LuizaLabs, the headquarters of Magazine Luiza, in Franca, in the interior of São Paulo, with the phrase: "Does the governor slip?". The Magazine Luiza headquarters employs approximately 500 people in the digital intelligence sector of the retail chain.
This week, Weintraub had already mocked the news that an event organized by the NGO Todos Pela Educação (All for Education) was canceled due to suspicions that the group's president, Priscilla Cruz, had contracted the coronavirus. He also joined in the virtual lynching of Suzy, a transgender woman featured in a report on the TV Globo program Fantástico, with the doctor Drauzio Varella, and called for the introduction of the death penalty for "rapists and murderers of children."
