247 - Former federal deputy for the PT party in Rio de Janeiro, Wadih Damous, appealed to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) not to grant Sergio Moro a lawyer's license. In a tweet on Sunday afternoon, Damous stated that "To be a lawyer, one must honor the legal profession, its values and principles. Respect the rule of law. Moro is averse to all of that. He doesn't even have the mannerisms of a lawyer. As a judge, he harassed defense lawyers as much as he could."

In addition to Damous, a group of jurists and criminal lawyers critical of the Lawfare practices of Operation Lava Jato is organizing a collective petition to the Brazilian Bar Association to challenge Moro's registration request.
