Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE) should grant more time for the formation of party federations.
Party leaders met with the president of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) and are optimistic about the approval of more time for party federations to be formed.
247 - Party leaders met this Tuesday (8) with the president of the TSE, Luís Roberto Barroso, to ask for more time for the registration of federations. According to José Luiz Penna (PV), the minister did not make a final decision, but showed himself sympathetic to the request to postpone the deadline, reports the Dashboard of Folha de S.Paulo
The Green Party (PV) is in talks to form a federation with the Workers' Party (PT), the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), and the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB).
The political parties, which are discussing a possible federation among themselves, argue that the correct date would be August 5th – the deadline for party conventions. The TSE (Superior Electoral Court) is leaning towards an intermediate solution, extending the deadline to May.
