Three landless workers are killed in Uberlândia.

Brasilia - Three members of the Landless Liberation Movement (MLST) were found dead yesterday afternoon (24) in an abandoned car on a highway near Miraporanga, a district of Uberlândia, in the Triângulo Mineiro region.
Next to the bodies of two men and a woman, the Military Police (PM) found a 5-year-old child who, according to the police, witnessed the murders. The granddaughter of two of the victims, the child was taken to the encampment where her parents live and is under police protection.
The three victims were shot dead, and police arrived at the scene after receiving a tip by phone. According to Uberlândia Military Police officer Wandherson Reis, there are still no leads on the suspects in the murders, but police believe the crimes were motivated by a land dispute between members of the MLST (Landless Workers' Movement). "The investigations are ongoing to find the culprits. The Civil Police have also opened an inquiry," he said.
The MLST is a splinter group of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST).
