247 - The Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, filed charges on Friday (22) against the former advisor to Minister Alexandre de Moraes at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Eduardo Tagliaferro.

According to the Attorney General's Office (PGR), Tagliaferro leaked internal dialogues from the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to the press in order to discredit the electronic voting system and obstruct investigations. He also allegedly manipulated cell phones to conceal evidence and hinder investigations by the Federal Police (PF), according to the indictment.

The Attorney General's Office also states that, in July, while abroad, Tagliaferro participated in an interview with the pro-Bolsonaro blogger Allan dos Santos, where he threatened to release new confidential data and launched a fundraising campaign to finance the revelations—evidence, according to the Attorney General's Office, of alignment with the practices of the network investigated for attacks on democratic institutions.

In April, the Federal Police indicted Tagliaferro for leaking classified information with the intention of hindering investigations into fake news.

The Attorney General's Office cited the following crimes: violation of professional secrecy, coercion during legal proceedings, obstruction of investigations into criminal offenses involving organized crime, and violent abolition of the democratic rule of law.

The Supreme Court will decide whether to accept or reject the charges.
