Tijolaço: Persecuted and imprisoned, Lula only grew stronger. And if they release him, he wins.

Journalist Fernando Brito analyzes that since the CNT/MDA poll from February onwards, the former president has been the target of coercive measures, convictions in two instances, and imprisonment in Curitiba, which has resulted in him having double the voting intentions in the same institute's survey, released in May; "Can you see the result of the monstrous persecution they are carrying out against the former president? Even more so when added to the deteriorating state of the Brazilian economy that they all said they were going to reverse, as if by magic?", he questions.

By Fernando Brito, from brick - The 'geniuses' of political analysis, who so enjoy making electoral analyses based on polls, should do a simple exercise: consult the evolution of polls conducted with the same scope, methodology, by the same research institute, and for the same client.

I quickly consulted the MDA's series of surveys for the National Confederation of Transport.

Em February 2016Even on the eve of the coup that would depose Dilma Rousseff, the leader in voting intentions was Aécio Neves, with almost 25%, against Lula's 19%.

Today, Aécio is hiding, even avoiding a Senate candidacy and doubting whether he will even be able to become a congressman.

Lula, after that poll, suffered coercive detention by the Federal Police, the sentence handed down by Sérgio Moro, its confirmation by the TRF-4 (Regional Federal Court of the 4th Region), and finally, imprisonment and isolation in a cell in Curitiba. May this yearHowever, an identical poll gave him 32,4% of the vote, practically double that of the second-place candidate, Jair Bolsonaro.

Can you see the result of this monstrous persecution of the former president? Especially when combined with the deteriorating state of the Brazilian economy, which they all claimed they were going to magically reverse?

They've gotten themselves into a deadly labyrinth. Kept imprisoned, Lula grows stronger; if they release him, Lula wins.

Democratic rituals, whether in the judicial system or in the electoral process, have become a barrier, even with all the resources at their disposal, to the continuation of their policies of dismantling Brazil.

And they know that, even if they win the elections, by some miracle they won't be able to govern.
