Bricklayer: If they impeach Lula, this is what they'll get.
According to Fernando Brito, editor of Tijolaço, the video where Jair Bolsonaro appears practicing "target shooting" with a .50 caliber pistol is revealing; "With the tranquility of someone who is not at risk of being shot by the 'adversary,' he fires three shots and misses two. Therefore, he produces two stray bullets," he observes; Brito emphasizes that this happens in the week that the shootings in Rocinha intensified, despite the presence of the Armed Forces, and after a sniper killed 58 and injured another 500 in the USA; "This is what I want for my Brazil," says the "elite sniper."
By Fernando Brito, in brick - A thousand soldiers were in Rocinha for several days, armed with automatic rifles and armored vehicles.
They achieved very little, apart from media coverage.
The headline on O Globo's website right now is: Ten days after the Army left, drug trafficking shows no mercy in Rocinha. There were shootings in various parts of the favela and a man was injured by a "stray bullet" – a "stray bullet" being any of the 99% that miss their target and happen to hit an unfortunate person nearby.
But their problems are over, as those cheesy TV commercials say.
Jair Bolsonaro, speaking from the United States, distributes a video of himself practicing "target shooting" with a .50 caliber pistol.
At a distance of about 15 meters, with all the time in the world to "sleep on the target," in the ideal posture and, above all, with the peace of mind of someone who is not running the risk of being shot by the "opponent," he fires three shots and misses two.
It therefore produces two stray bullets, a "light" version of anti-aircraft machine gun ammunition (it's half an inch, 12,7mm in diameter). Bullets that have a precise range of 200 meters or two city blocks, when fired by people with more skill than Bolsonaro, but which travel five blocks with lethal force.
This happened in the week that a "peaceful citizen" in Las Vegas killed 58 and injured 500 with legally purchased weapons. "This is the United States, this is what I want for my Brazil," says the "sniper."
Bolsonaro is rising in the polls, followed by a legion of hysterics, resentful people, and sociopaths.
But it grows above all because the spirit of the "vigilante" was (and is) promoted by the media and moneyed elite.
He tries very hard to make himself palatable to the wealthy crowd, as seen on this trip to the United States, where he advocated for the end of all labor rights.
It may even be that he succeeds, as Hitler was accepted by German business leaders, including some of Jewish origin, to put an end to the left.
João Dória's downfall showed that it's not possible to create a "straight-room" version of Bolsonaro.
Continue on this crazy adventure of trying to impeach Lula, and one of two things will happen.
Either we won't have elections, or there's a strong possibility that this madman will end up presiding over the country.
It's clear that Bolsonaro isn't going to leave the presidential sash firing his pistol.
But thousands will go. Thousands more of ".50 caliber" rifles will go to the streets, into the hands of militiamen and bandits.
