247 - Minister Bruno Dantas, of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), ordered an investigation into the use of telephone interception devices by Operation Lava Jato. The devices, which later disappeared, were allegedly used in illegal wiretaps.

All equipment purchased by Lava Jato in recent years, throughout Brazil, for recording internal phone lines or telephone interceptions will be investigated.

The Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) has formally requested an investigation against prosecutors in Curitiba from the National Council of the Public Prosecutor's Office (CNMP). Among the reasons for the request are suspicions that wiretapping equipment was used clandestinely and the use of disguised names of authorities in legal proceedings.
