Taxi driver found burned to death in northern São Paulo.

It is believed that, after being shot in the head, the victim likely accelerated the car, which crashed into a wall and caught fire, in the Perus region.

A taxi driver was found charred in the driver's seat of his work vehicle after the car caught fire around 22 pm yesterday on Rua Ilha do Frade, in the Perus region, in the northern part of the city of São Paulo.

The victim had a gunshot wound to the head. Upon being shot, the taxi driver's foot likely accelerated the car, which crashed into a wall coming from Avenida Doutor Silvio de Campos and burst into flames. The case will be registered at the 33rd Police District, but the Homicide and Personal Protection Department (DHPP) is expected to take over the investigation.
