Tarcísio and Zema are tied, and Caiado leads: see the governors' approval ratings in their respective states.

A Genial/Quaest survey in 8 states shows that the governors of Goiás and Paraná have the highest approval ratings, while Castro faces high disapproval in Rio.

247 - A survey conducted by the Genial/Quaest institute between February 19th and 23rd measured the approval and evaluation of the work of governors in eight Brazilian states. The survey indicated that Ronaldo Caiado (União), of Goiás, and Ratinho Júnior (PSD), of Paraná, registered the best approval ratings among the heads of the state executive branch. The margin of error for the survey is two percentage points for São Paulo and three points for the other states.  

Goiás and Paraná lead in approval rates. The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, obtained the best numbers in the survey. His government is approved by 86% of those interviewed, while only 9% disapprove of his administration. In Paraná, Ratinho Júnior also has wide acceptance, with 81% approval and only 14% disapproval.  

The two governors also stand out in the qualitative performance evaluation. Caiado has 74% positive ratings, compared to 17% average and 4% negative. Ratinho Júnior, on the other hand, has 65% positive ratings, 24% average, and 6% negative.  

Tarcísio and Zema are tied in approval ratings. The governors of São Paulo and Minas Gerais registered similar approval ratings. Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) has a 61% approval rating, while Romeu Zema (Novo) has 62%. Their disapproval ratings are also close: 28% for Tarcísio and 30% for Zema.  

In the qualitative assessment, Tarcísio has 41% positive ratings, 34% average ratings, and 14% negative ratings. Zema presents a similar picture, with 41% positive ratings, 37% average ratings, and 14% negative ratings.  

Eduardo Leite maintains his approval rating, while Jerônimo and Raquel face challenges. In Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSDB) has a 62% approval rating, compared to a 33% disapproval rating. He receives 40% positive ratings, 39% neutral ratings, and 16% negative ratings.  

In Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT) has a 61% approval rating and a 31% disapproval rating, while 42% rate his government as positive, 29% as average, and 21% as negative.  

In Pernambuco, Governor Raquel Lyra (PSDB) faces a more divided scenario: 51% approve of her administration, but 44% disapprove. In terms of qualitative evaluation, she has 32% positive ratings, 37% neutral ratings, and 26% negative ratings.  

Cláudio Castro in Rio - The survey indicates that the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), has a 48% disapproval rating and a 42% approval rating. In the qualitative assessment, Castro has 24% positive ratings, while 35% consider his government to be average and 31% rate it negatively.  

Political scenario for 2026 - The survey numbers reflect the popularity of governors and may influence future electoral scenarios, especially for names like Ronaldo Caiado, Tarcísio de Freitas, and Romeu Zema, who are considered potential candidates for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026.
