247 - Doctor Allan Garcês is now being considered as a possible candidate to assume the Ministry of Health after the departure of former minister Nelson Teich, reports Caio Junqueira, from CNN.

Garcês has the characteristics sought by Jair Bolsonaro to fill the position: he is a military man (a reserve officer in the Air Force), defends the use of chloroquine and azithromycin to combat Covid-19, as well as the relaxation of social isolation measures.

The military wing of the government, as well as Bolsonaro's sons, view the appointment of Allan Garcês favorably. The doctor is also a long-time supporter of Bolsonaro.

Garcês was a director at the Ministry of Health during Luiz Henrique Mandetta's administration and was part of the transition team along with Teich.
